The film tells a tale about a young college student Chi-hye (Sun Ye-jin) who is involved in a love triangle with her friend Su-kyong (Lee Sang-in) and a young modish playwright Sang-min (Jo In-seong). Meanwhile, she uncovers the romance and tangles her mother Chu-hui (also played by Sun) fell into in the late 1960s. Bouncing back and forth, the film delicately unfolds the two romances of the two generations. Though the time and people differ in the two stories, the "classic" love feelings remain unchanged.
